LPKF cooperates with Pulsonix in North America

Wilsonville, OR, February 3, 2003, LPKF Laser & Electronics North America, the world-leading manufacturer of circuit board plotters for in-house PCB prototyping, has recently signed a distribution agreement with WestDev Ltd., in Tewksbury (UK) to distribute Pulsonix, a powerful EDA system. LPKF Laser & Electronics now manages the distribution, technical support and training of the Pulsonix PCB layout and schematic package in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

LPKF Laser & Electronics has added the Polsonix software to its product portfolio to meet the needs of our customers for more efficient in house prototyping. "LPKF is extremely pleased to form this distribution partnership. We have successfully provided design engineers with rapid prototyping equipment but have yet to touch upon our capability to supply a PCB design package. Adding the distribution of a very powerful Windows based EDA system was a logical step, allowing us to become an ideal solution provider for all PCB designers," said Stephan Schmidt, Vice President of LPKF North America.

Last year Pulsonix was introduced in Europe and is quickly developing market share despite the difficulties in the electronics industry. The software features schematic and PCB layout including Auto Place and Auto Router. Pulsonix reads schematics, designs, and libraries from most commonly used EDA systems. Besides standard industry exports, Pulsonix features very powerful direct LPKF export allowing seamless integration between the CAD package and PCB prototyping equipment.
